Crown Street Public School ECO WARRIORS 2014: Ella Eizenberg, Georgia Mather, Jessica MacMaster and Izaak Raaijmakers with P&C member Tiffany Cole

In 2013 a group of parents from Crown Street Public School in Surry Hills, were successful in their grant application for a City of Sydney Tree Planting Matching Grant.

The grant has enabled us to ‘green the school environment’ by regenerating a large area of the school grounds by planting suitable,  sustainable trees species.  Find out more about the Garden Regeneration Project here. You can follow our project from beginning to end,  documented by the students of Crown Street Public school.

This website features information about our existing Crown Street Kitchen Garden Program - including recipes, photos, garden news and blogs written by the kids about their experience in the Kitchen Garden Program.

Thank you to the City of Sydney for making this project possible and offering communities like ours the opportunity to green our environment!
